On my wishlist....

There are 2 major things on my wishlist right now and the Mulberry Alexa in leopard print (shown above) is one of them. I always seem to have a really hard time picking handbags but I've been lusting after this one for a while. The ever stylish Olivia Palermo looks fantastic with hers as does Miss Alexa Chung- whom the bag was named after. The combination of a long and short strap along and all that room makes it the perfect every day bag!

My second obsession, and I'm almost kicking myself for not getting this in Paris instead of my YSL, is the Celine Luggage Tote. This is one of those bags that the more you look at it the more you need to have it. The incredible rich blue hue makes it a great statement piece and its unlike any other bag out there- making it the perfect purchase!

A winter meal...

The perfect way to spend a frosty winters evening is with cocktails and yummy food at a warm cozy bar.
We found ourselves at The Lodge, a great little place in Williamsburg that served a mean Cosmopolitan, mac and cheese and a great burger with frites. I loved their quaint christmas tree, and bunches of wildflowers in vases that were scattered across the bar.

Baby, take me away!

I've always loved the idea of luxury travel. Monogrammed luggage, door men and exotic destinations conjure up ideas of super sophisticated women, convertibles and covetable sunglass and hat options.
I've put together some of my favorite travel images, which all make me feel like booking a plane ticket to somewhere warm and wearing a headscarf.

Model of the Moment: Elisa Sednaoui

Elisa Sednaoui for Vogue China

I have to admit that I've had a total girl crush on Elisa Sednaoui since she appeared in Karl Lagerfelds mini film for Chanel- Remember Now. A model/actress Elisa is the face of Chanel eyewear, fronts Diane Von Furstenburg's campaigns and has just been snapped up by Armani to be their ambasador.
I love her cheeky, gummy smile, incredible incredible hair and overall gorgeousness. Of course she is French, loves wearing black and hanging out at Cafe de Flore on the left bank.
She looks incredible in this shoot (as always) and was shot by her cousin Stephane Sednaoui.

Monet's Giverny

One of the most beautiful places we visited in Paris was Giverny, Monet's Garden. About 45 minutes out of Paris it is the most beautiful garden I have been to and a very inspiring place. It is easy to see how Monet could find so many beautiful views to paint. To top it off, it started to rain while we were standing near the lily pond and bridge, looking just like one of Monet's paintings.

For a glimpse at some of my favourite places in Paris, especially Chez Julien which was my favourite restaurant, click on this link to watch Season 4, Episode 1 of Gossip Girl. 'Belle de Jour' is full of pretty places and great snaps of Paris, a lot of them places we frequented a lot!

Vive La France!

Nothing quite beats a photoshoot set in Paris. My favourite thing about them is spotting the Eiffel Tower. Just like in Paris, my heart gives leaps with joy whenever I see the pointed spire appear in the sky.
The above shoot by Marie Claire Italia celebrates France in all its glory. The red, white and blue colourways that appear throughout the shoot, that nonchalant way the model seduces the camera and of course- the Eiffel Tower.

A typical day in Paris....

A great new blog....

Whilst checking out one of my favourite blogs ( especially now I am in New York) 'The Cut' I stumbled across a fantastic blog I hadn't ever seen before.  'Gastro Chic', http://www.gastrochic.com/, is a wonderful place where food and fashion are combined.
New York's hottest bars, restaurants and cafes are listed and described as well as fantastic street style shots. Check out the pic of Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington above.

The best of.....

As you all should know, Paree is the last stop on the Spring/Summer 2011 show circuit.
These are just a few of my favourite street snaps from the City of Light.
Paris always seems to boast the best street style from Fashion Month and its no wonder. In a city so beautiful, you have to dress up and impress it.

Wish List....

There are many things on my wish list, but these Giuseppe Zanotti wedges are close to the top.
Spotted on the feet of quite a few fashionistas this fashion month they are a must have for any wardrobe.

Oh to be in Paris...

This beautiful shoot from Marie Claire Spain completely embodies how I felt in Paris.
Light, carefree, happy and beautiful. A day spent wandering the streets and bridges in Paris is a wonderful day indeed.
